Visit the farm

The growing rooms are at Meteorenweg 272, 1035 RN Amsterdam, on the Noordoogst site in Amsterdam-Noord. We are open to visitors every Friday from 14:00 to 19:00, when you can buy mushrooms harvested that morning straight from the farm. On workshop Saturdays — every other week — we open for the workshop and the farm tour that comes with it.

Opening hours

Every Friday, 14:00 to 19:00. No appointment needed and no ticket required — you can walk in, look around and buy what has just been harvested.

We are open on workshop days as well. Those dates move, because workshops run every other Saturday rather than weekly, so check the workshop agenda before you plan around one.

How to get here

From Amsterdam Centraal, walk to the back of the station and take one of the free ferries across the IJ. From the north bank, bus 35 or 36 runs into Amsterdam-Noord. The whole trip takes roughly half an hour.

Cycling is often quicker — about twenty minutes from the city centre, ferry included. The ferries take bicycles at no charge.

Farm tours and workshops in English

Every other Saturday we run a mushroom growing workshop with a guided tour of the farm. The English session runs from 12:30 - 14:30; the Dutch session runs earlier the same day, from 10:00 - 12:00. Each session takes 15 people at most, so places are limited.

A ticket is €50 per person. You walk through the whole process — substrate, inoculation, incubation, fruiting — see the growing rooms, and take a grow kit home with you. Holders of a Stadspas, the Amsterdam city pass, pay a reduced rate.

What you can take home

Fresh shiitake, lion’s mane and oyster mushrooms, dried mushrooms and lion’s mane powder, grow kits to fruit at home, and mycelium compost by the bag for your garden.
